Astronaut Wednesday
A glassy apartment building next to the ocean. There’s a rope and harness set up so people can safely leap out a window and swing around. One older lady leaps harder and farther than anybody, eventually swinging up high enough to grab onto the bar in place for advanced leapers. Even then, she keeps trying to top herself on the leap. Finally, she leaps so hard that the rope swings her up onto the roof of the building. Everyone’s freaked out and a little exasperated. It turns out she’s an astronaut!
CA knows I’m feeling depressed, so he invites me over to play videogames. “Hey baby!” He’s overly familiar on the phone “We got xxxxx, we got xxxxx… whatever you want.” He names videogames.
There’s an arranged performance where Wednesday Addams will play an advanced version of Chopsticks for an internet video. She plays the notes alternating, not together, like you’re supposed to in Chopsticks. It sounds awesome. Everyone is impressed. Someone says she plays it almost TOO well. I’m wearing white low top sneakers with metal hook eyelets. I’m a little scared that they’re diseased. In fact, my whole outfit might be diseased.
