disco party / expensive peach
Jade:
“I dreamed I was at this disco party, in the eighties, and this random rap guy came in, and then I realized that he was Bob Marley.”
Me:
I dreamed that I was with my friend Alex M. from high school. She took a bunch of peaches from a business that our friend owned, thinking it was OK because we were all friends and peaches aren’t too expensive. Then I took one. The skin was transparent and so was the flesh. It reminded me of those Chinese jelly candies that are rectangular prisms with the edible rice paper. I could see a cartoon face staring up at me through the center. It was delicious and tasted like candy with a texture like an Asian pear.
I found out while I was eating it that they cost $120 per pound, and so the peach I was eating was about $150. I was shocked and apologized to the owner, who looked a lot like Alice from Twilight. She assured me it was OK.
